Today I discovered...

1. how to scull elegantly, keeping both blades off the water for the entire recovery, thereby making me look like seriously hot shit, and

2. the joy of Meatloaf. The singer, not the entree. Picked up a CD at a garage sale, and I'm LOVIN' it! Quit laughing.

I'm not laughing. I love Meatloaf. Which album did you get?

Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell. I'm especially fond of "Life is a Lemon and I want my Money Back" and "Objects in the Rear View Mirror May Appear Closer Than They Are." Excellent angst.

btw H-C, whatever became of your gently weeping guitarist? I've been dying to read the rest of the saga...

And seriously, where can I get a copy of your single? I'd love to hear it.

BOH 2 is great but check out BOH1 because Paradise by the dashboard light is one of the best songs ever written. You can probably buy a copy on Amazon or Ebay for not very much at all and its worth every penny. Or limewire for it.

While my guitarist gently weeps ~2 is (slmost) written but I'm wary of putting it up cos I started talking about love and relationships and some womens view therefore and I'm a bit nervous that it will offend people...(yes I do worry about offending people which is why I don't blog that often anymore)

Single info - check out herebes comments all details there - although I may blog about it this weekend...

Bat out of hell is one of the greatest albums ever recorded. It justifies its existence for the title track alone. Ten minutes of pure mounting adrenaline rush. If the hairs on your body don't stand up by the time he hits the final lines, you're clinically dead. Steinman never did anything better. Meatloaf never had anything better to sing.
