I accept your dare

I stole this meme.

How my mom sees me:

How my dad sees me:

How my brother sees me:

How my academic advisor sees me:

How my flatmates see me:

How the Pirate sees me. literally.

(yes, that really is the top of my head.)

How the Pirate sees me, metaphorically speaking:

(Fine print: This is not to suggest the Pirate's sexual orientation is anything other than advertised. Only that he has way more confidence in my talent than is healthy.)

How Bluto sees me:

("I am become Green Grocer, bringer of vegetables.")

More of how Bluto sees me:

How Bluto sees himself:

How I see myself:

(no self-esteem problems here, i assure you.)

At least Einstein knew about rain drops......

Yes, but he also believed in the existence of a god, so even Einstein wasn't right about EVERYthing.

*gasp* I hear you all say.

*sniff, sniff* I smell a controversey coming.

'How the Pirate sees me, metaphorically speaking.' As a forty something year old male retired athlete with diabetes and terminal colitis brought on by decades of self obsessively ignoring his bodies warning signals in pursuit of spurious and transient glory; a self obsession which not only endangered his life but his marriage, his relationship with his family, friends and peers?

Interesting.

So? Einstein believed in God? So what? Just because you're supremely rational it doesn't mean that you aren't allowed to be supremely irrational.

you are very fortunate in your parents, you know!
years ago i had a hammie named dinsdale pirrahna who used to like to clamber around on me too. because he was a chubbo, he had dangly nads, so sometimes the view was interesting. but hamster feeties are so warm and cute!
*nails self in leg with insulin*
ah, better.

btw: einstein was a jew. the god he believed in was a lot more congruent with his genius than the christian version.

It is so refreshing to see a positive self image without swastikas in the background.

ZB: *sigh*

FN: yes, I am very fortunate. I'm one of the only people I know that actually likes my parents. But of course they have hugely over-inflated notions of my wonderfulness, but I'm not complaining.

FN: Ha!

Homo: fank yoo vewy much!

Heh - that's awesome. And way to go, Bluto. He sounds like an intrepid kinda chap. Not like our last small, caged furry who was just bonkers.

Haven't you got lovely shiny hair!

(Um, is that photo a fellatio reference, or is the Pirate just really tall?)

Moominmama said...

thank you.
yes, it's a fellatio reference. wasn't sure if i was being too subtle or not. glad you got it.
no, the Pirate and I are exactly the same height. (I've had to resign myself to a life in flat shoes.)

ZB said...

It couldn't have got any less subtle if you'd written 'This is a fellatio reference' on a half brick and lobbed it through our windows...

Frobisher said...

The reason the hair is so shiny is all that protein!

Is your pirate related the my barrel pirate?

Moominmama said...

zb: well apparently there was some question about it. did your teachers ever tell you not to be afraid to ask questions because other students were probably wondering the same thing?

frobi: I wash with dog shampoo. And no, i don't think so.
