Spring sprang!

The crocuses are running riot, the daffodils are smiling up at the sun, and the delicate, fluffy cherry blossoms observe the scene.

Pictures tomorrow.

someone is GIDDY!
so far we have the snowdrops and the catkins on the pussywillows and hazelnut trees. very postmodern spring here, long on design, short on 'simplistic' primary colors.

After weeks of driving to work in the dark, I now drive to work just before sunrise (which is ace as it's getting light when I arrive). And when I finish, it is still light and not even dark when I get home. Yay! I can do some gardening :)

Hello Chaucer's Bitch. Nice to meet you.

Lovely place you have here. Although your beautiful descriptions of nature suggest that someone's been putting hallucinogenic drugs in the water supply. :)

I got a big waft of hawthorn blossom this afternoon when cycling home, under blue sky punctuated with little fluffy clouds. Hooray for Spring, indeed!

FN: I'll be giddy when my Pirate gets home from his 2 weeks of playing cricket in world-class stadiums, eating gourmet curry in peacock-infested gardens, sleeping in 5* hotels on silk sheets, all the while being fanned with palm fronds by beautiful women in shimmering saris. *ahem*

Llewtra: can I help with the gardening? please?? I love to garden, but all i have are a bunch of African violets on a windowsill.

Homo: enjoy your winters while you have them. in another 10 years you'll be living in a temperate zone.

Hello, Barnes. Thanks for stopping by. Take off your coat and stay a while. Oh, and we're pretty informal around here. Just call me 'CB.'

Lorna: I got a waft of something this afternoon, too. Too bad it wasn't hawthorne. *cough*

Where are the pictures? I need to see some flowers today. The closest thing we have right now is the pear tree outside mildly threatening to bud.

I love this time of year in Wales.

We don't get spring here, only summer and winter. So now it's winter til May.

We've got snowdrops and roadworks. That's about as springlike as it gets here
