Everybody do your little happy dance! (Right now, in the library, or your office. wherever. go ahead - no one's looking.)
Why are we doing our little happy dances, I hear you ask?
Because we have a Hamster! Whee!
You are now all officially Uncle Herebe and Auntie Hendrix and Uncle Sal and Auntie Spinster and Aunti Ezri and everyone else reading this and I'm sorry if I forgot your name but my brain isn't working as my heart's just been stolen by a smally furry little grey guy with buggey eyes and wee little paws. *all together now*: Awww!"
Photos to follow shortly.

AWWWW! I want a pet. But then again it would probably die, considering how little time I tend to spend at home. I was thinking of a rat, they're small, but meant to be the most intelligent of the little animals. I could carry it around on my shoulder all day like some smelly punk.
Ooh! You could call him Zaphod Beeblebrox, y' know, just to be funny!
well, i would find it funny.
um, aren't gerbils grey and hamsters brown? does it leap? if so, its a gerb.
had a ham named 'dinnsdale pirannha' back in jr.hi...laid around and licked its disturbingly large balls is all it did despite having $$$ worth of tunnels and carousel and ladders. ungrateful vermin.
Both hamsters and gerbils come in a variety of colors. I suggest a google search, which will produce some educational and really cute photos.
When do you pit him against the cat?
my cat? my cat is 4,000 miles away. but i got 50 quid what says my little dude could kick Gelli's ass into next week.
As I'm still bearing the scars from Gels last city break in Edinburgh I'll take that bet...she's vicious little bugger! (not at all like the real Hendrix Cat who is of course a proper lady)
However if we're all now aunties and uncles does this mean that some of us get to be godparents?
I don't want to take your money but I will if I have to.
