Hamster mansion

The Pirate is in love with my hamster. When he walks in the door the first thing he does (often before he kisses me) is go straight to the hamster cage. If Bluto is awake, the door gets opened and the little furry one gets to play with Uncle Pirate as long as he pleases. Bluto loves the Pirate becuase the Pirate gives him all the sunflower seeds he can cram into his little cheeks.

So I wasn't terribly surprised when a couple weeks ago he (the Pirate) purchased a bag of plastic connector tubes for the little guy's cage. I had already made some modifications to the cage (like the addition of the little mushroom-hut thingy on the bottom left), but the P, being an engineer, felt an uncontrollable urge to over-spec the furry one's abode. This is the result:

... amazing. Absolutely f-ing amazing. Bluto's apartment and mine are approximately the same size, and his is FAR better furnished. ;)

That's hilarious. And so is your hamster. Go Bluto! Go Pirate!

I want my office to look like that. Though I might get lost...

Can Bluto actually navigate the hairpin turn at the top of the tunnel? You know that whole tunnel thingamabob sure looks like...

(NO YOU CAN'T STOP ME!!
Stop it right now you little pussy!
NO I WON'T AND YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!
OK that's it I am dragging up all of the horrible memories from that Summer Bible Camp in 67!
NO! NO! ALRIGHT YOU WIN!)

Sorry CB,that was my conscience and I, we just were debating about whether I would be writing a little gerbil/intestinal tract joke..
but I guess it's not going to happen.

You two are really 'nesting' aren't you?

Ooh, it looks like the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Does it have lifts and elevators?

Miss M (Herman's Bitch?): True, for the time being. But at the rate you're stealing furniture from the Festival I reckon you'll catch up to him soon. ;p

Val: yeah, it's just one big bucket o' laughs around here.

Hannah: golly i hope so!

Homo: a, yes. b, *sigh* c, as much as possible, but that's not saying a whole lot. besides the palacial rodent residence the sum total of our nesting activities has consisted of figuring out which fruits, veggies, and flowers we want in our garden. (bearing in mind that neither of us has a garden, nor will be able to afford one any time in the near future.)

Ahem. I, er, obviously meant to say "escalators" rather than "elevators" in the previous comment.

*bangs head against wall*

Don't worry, Betty. I've never been to the Pompidou. For all I know people get around on magic bean vines that carry them between floors.

(And no, Bluto's cage does not have magic bean vines, before you ask.)

That's excellent! The boy's housemate has a hamster, but it only has one tube going out the top and back in at the other end... nowhere near as a-maze-ing (ha! see what I did there?) as this!
