Prediction

John McCain will be the Republican nominee for president.

(This is not a good thing. He might actually get elected president. I'd be happier if it looked like Fuckabee or Ram-me was going to be the nominee, because they'd be easier to defeat in the general.)

As soon as I've figured out who the Democratic nominee will be, I'll let you know.

I don't know, I'd be surprised. I still don't know who it's going to be.

By the way, have you seen this?

I know...I'm hoping McCain falls in a pit or something...because having a decent republican candidate is bad.
As for Democrat. It'll be Hilary. The other guy is just a bit too young methinks...

I think McCain is too old. Folks won't want ANOTHER President going senile in office.

If Billary wins it all, God (or Spaghetti Monster or whatever) save us all.

We need to have a council of elders as our leaders, with maybe an elf and a couple of dwarves or gnomes for good measure, and maybe yoda.

billy: care to make a friendly wager?

geo: i like hillary, but i'm not sure she (a woman) can get elected while we're fighting a war. i think a lot of so-called "moderates" will think (to themselves, because they'll be too embarassed to admit it publicly) that they don't want an emotional woman in charge of the largest military in the world, esp. during wartime. sexist, but the bleak reality.

Rimmer: most people don't realize that Regan had Alzheimer's while he was still in the WH. And he was hugely popular. So i don't think age will be too much of an issue. And Billary would be a HUGE improvement over the nematode we've got now!

I ADORE the idea of Hillary and Bill back in the White House. I mostly like what Bill did in office, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" being the most glaring exception.

There's been more rumblings over the weekend about an independent run by Michael Bloomberg. Never underestimate America's fascination with money/billionaires. I wouldn't count him out.

Oh - go for Yoda.
I mean I'd vote for Yoda. Who wouldn't!

Hillary is corrupt and skeezy! I don't think anyone's thrilled with any of the Dems, I'm sad Mr Richardson dropped out. Most of the US says BLEH! to the Dems lately, especially since their pandering after Pelosi tookover as speaker of the house and did a lot in a couple of days and has been kowtowing to the GOP ever since. They lack a spine in the public's opinion, so I think we are doomed to more GOP rule.
McCain is a nut and a half, much like Mister Lieberman, only with PTSD.
I'd like to see Kucinich get the Dem nod, but that will never, ever, ever happen. :(
